William Gudmundson Obituary

William Cody Gudmundson 43, Of Ammon Idaho passed away April 18th, 2020 in Blue Springs Missouri of a heart attack.
William- Cody as he was called was born July 7th, 1976 in Long beach California to JoeAnn Hincks Gudmundson and Jesse Gudmundson. Cody’s father Jesse was in the Navy, so his stationing moved them to different places. When Cody was 3 months old they moved to Newport Rhode Island, lived there briefly and then moved to Norfolk Virginia until the tragic passing of his father. Cody was only 10 months old when his father passed away. That is when Cody’s mother packed up their belongings and moved to Idaho falls Idaho and later Ammon Idaho. Cody lived his adult life with his mother and cared for her until her passing in 2016. He was the light in her life and she was very grateful for him. He continued to live in Ammon until the time of his passing.
Cody attended Falls Valley Elementary, South Bonneville Jr High School and Hillcrest High School. Cody worked at Walmart in Ammon and Idaho Falls for many years. He was a familiar face to many always greeting them with a smile. Cody decided to move on to bigger things and decided to go to trucking school and graduated from Sage trucking school in 2018 and received his CDL thereafter. Cody was so proud of this accomplishment.
Cody worked for Doug Andrus trucking and was on the road at the time of his passing. During his time there he logged in over 15,000 miles and another 10,000 while he was in training.
Cody was a kind person to all who met him and would help anyone in need if he could, and he will be remembered for this. He was not one to complain about much but had a carefree attitude and such a great spirit about things. He will be dearly missed.
Cody was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He participated in Scouts and held the Melchizedek priesthood.Cody is survived by his uncle Len Hincks of Las Vegas NV and many cousins, Nieces and Nephews. He had a few close friends and their children he considered his family as well. Cody was preceded in death by his parents JoeAnn and Jesse Gudmundson, his grandparents and aunts and Uncles.
