Schwab Mortuary and Crematory has been serving Star Valley since 1925. Since Herbert Schwab (founder) the mortuary has stretched five generations and has been serving the community of Star Valley for the past 85 years. Schwab Mortuary and Crematory now has three facilities. Schwab Mortuary and Crematory, located in Afton, Schwab Funeral Chapel, located just north of Thayne, and Schwab-Matthews Mortuary Located in Montpelier, Idaho. Schwab Mortuary and Crematory currently owns and operates a crematory, serving those desiring cremations as a funeral rite.
