Kelly Garland, 62 year old former Buffalo man, passed away Nov. 24th in Idaho Falls Idaho.  Kelly was born in Buffalo on July 28, 1959 to Gerald (Tub) and Edith (Green) Garland.  He grew up and was educated in Johnson County schools graduating from Buffalo High School in 1978 and attended Northwest Wyoming Community College for one year on a track scholarship.  While in high school he was an avid athlete, playing football, wrestling, and track.  He still holds the pole vault record at Buffalo High School.

Kelly worked in construction, worked several local ranches, and did carpentry work until purchasing their own business in Thayne, Wyoming.  Kelly’s love for horses got him involved in chariot racing, breeding, and raising horses.  He loved to get on his horse and go – there was never an end to the trial.
