On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, Edward Keith Gardner, loving husband and father of 5 children, passed away at the young age of 49. Ed was born October 7, 1971 to Kathy (Jensen) Horsley and Bill Gardner. He was the lucky number 3 out of 4 children. He attended Star Valley High School where he enjoyed being an astounding drummer for the band and a brilliant student. He later earned his GED. He married the love of his life, Amy (Hall) Gardner on August 23, 2003 in Riverton, WY and later they moved and made Afton their home. Ed took a lot of pride in the work he completed throughout his life from being a roofer to painting airplanes, he was always very meticulous and conscientious. He recently found a new passion in gardening and seeing what he could grow in his greenhouse. He never missed Sunday football and was a die hard Chicago Bears fan. Ed will always be known for his wonderful sense of humor that could make anyone laugh, his quick wit, his knowledge in absolutely everything but most importantly his huge compassionate heart. Ed was preceded in death by his grandpa Keith Jensen, his aunts Geraldine (Jensen) Steed and Judy (Gardner) Cox and 4 first cousins Chance, KC, Katie, and Seth Jensen. He is survived by his wife; Amy Gardner, his 5 children; Beau, Chaz, Larz, Stephanie, and Stephen, 2 grandchildren; Drexel and Roczen. His parents Kathy Horsley and Bill Gardner. His sister, Patty (Kurt) Nield, his brothers Willy (Deidra) and Rod (Rachel) Gardner, his grandma Nadine Jensen and Carol Gardner, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at Schwab Mortuary in Afton on Friday, May 21 at 11 am.
