Wyoma Roos Osmond's Obituary

Wyoma Roos Osmond slipped through the veil November 22, 2015. She was born the eighth child of eleven to Hyrum Stephanious Roos and Alice Mae Sessions. She and her twin, Neoma, entered the world just minutes apart and carried a bond that only twins can understand. When she was only three years of age, she lost her beloved mother. She spent the rest of her life yearning that loss.

They spent the first few years of their life in Auburn. Her dad sheared sheep wherever he could find work, which left the kids to fend for themselves. He tried hard to keep the children together; the older kids cared for the younger ones. There were five under the age of 5 when Wyoma's mother passed away. The children spent much of the time working hard and playing hard. Even though there was not much supervision, they all seemed to know what needed to be done. When Wyoma and Neoma were freshmen in high school, their father passed away. They all revered their dad and it was a devastating to them to lose him at such an early age.

The twins worked some in Afton, and then lived with Wilda and Wanda in Turnerville. When they graduated, the twins moved to Ogden to work at Hill Air Force Base. It was there that Wyoma met her future husband, Harold James Perry. They were married December 26, 1943, and moved to Jim's home town, Kansas City, Missouri. Times were hard and work didn't come easily. She and Jim had four children: Alice Lee, Patricia Ann, Steven James, and Carol Sue. Jim was killed in a car accident and soon after moved her and her children back to Star Valley. She ran the Peter Pan Cafe in Thayne for a few years, then married Vernon Jenkins and moved to Freedom. She enjoyed the outdoors and liked to work on the tractor.

To this union two children were born, Darin Vern and Corey Roos. They moved to Afton where they lived in a few rentals, before buying a home in Grover. She did all the landscaping and finished the basement. She was a hard worker. She worked for Aviat fabricating wings. In1983, she married Jack Osmond. They spent much time traveling. They had a home up Greys River, one in St. George, and a home in Afton. They enjoyed many hours up Greys River hiking, snow machining, and four wheeling. They later sold their homes in St. George and Greys River, and spent the remainder of their time together in Afton, until Jack passed away.

Wyoma spent the past few years of her life at Sage Grove Assisted Living Center in Rigby, Idaho. She was well cared for and loved. Wyoma was preceded in death by her two husbands, two grandchildren, two brothers, and two sisters.
