William Perry Tully Sr., aged 80, passed away on December 6, 2024, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Born on November 2, 1944, William (Bill) was a man of immense character, known for his kindness, humor, and dedication to his family and country.
Bill proudly served in the United States Navy, Seabee as a Vietnam Vet for four years, dedicating himself to the service of his nation with courage and patriotism. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career, dedicating 25 years to US West and an additional decade to Silver Star, where his hard work and dedication were evident.
Beyond his professional life, Bill was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also loved playing softball and was skilled at building things from scratch, a testament to his creativity and determination.
Throughout his life, Bill remained deeply involved with his family, embodying the role of a loving and humorous patriarch.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Tully; sons, William and Michael Tully; grandchildren, Natasha and Jeff Kraft, Justin Tully, Paxton and Taia Hokanson, and Jackson Tully; great-grandchildren, Grayson Kraft, Ryder and Garry Tully, and Rome and Crew Hokanson; as well as his brother and sister-in-laws, Norbert Evers, Randy and Diane Baxter, and Derek and Sherry Guffey; and nephews and nieces, Mike and Gina Tully, Ryan and Tessa Baxter, Kyle Baxter and James and Kelsey Sehrt. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on December 13, 2024 at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors, Tunnels to Towers, the Priest House, or a charity of your choice, honoring Bill's giving spirit.
William Perry Tully Sr. will be remembered as a steadfast, courageous, and joyful man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he touched. His legacy of love, laughter, and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
