Trevor Lawrence Nield's Obituary

Trevor Lawrence Nield

Trevor Lawrence Nield, age 24, passed away July 17, 2012. Trevor had developed a mental disorder in his late teens. Little is known about the disease he had, but it took his life. He was living in Jackson at the time of his death.
Trevor was born in Logan, Utah on Christmas day, Dec. 25, 1987 the son of Laurie Schreiber and Troy Nield. He lived in Logan and Ogden, Utah in his younger years and moved to Alpine, where he attended junior high and graduated from high school in Star Valley. He also lived in Salt Lake and Utah counties before moving back to Thayne and later Jackson.
Trevor loved the outdoors and spent many happy days fishing, hunting, camping and hiking in the Grey's River near his home in Alpine. He later expanded these activities to include mountain biking and kayaking in and around Jackson and Teton National Park. He especially enjoyed going to Bailey's Lake up the little Grey's River. When Trevor was 12 he greatly enjoyed a week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with his grandparents Larry and Tomie Schreiber.
Trevor loved his mother dearly. They enjoyed many wonderful activities and experiences together as she loved him back. All his family loved him very much.
His grandpa, Larry Schreiber, taught him to fish and hunt and will miss the great times they shared together in the mountains.
Grandma Tomie Schreiber will miss pulling taffy with him.
Trevor enjoyed visiting his Grandpa Reed and Grandma Loa Nield's ranch and working with the cows and the hay.
Trevor will be remembered for his playful nature. He was a strapping 6' 6" and wore a size 15 shoe. His sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins loved for him to play and wrestle with them. He had a huge hug that just encircled you. Trevor's favorite buddy and companion was his terrier dog Minnie. He often took her camping and hiking.
Trevor was preceded in death by his Grandpa Reed Nield.
He is survived by his mother Laurie Schreiber Vasko; his father Troy Nield; his three sisters, Tiffany Nield Meyers, Alicia Nield, and Chloe Vasko; a brother, Austin Nield, his grandmother Loa Nield; and his grandparents Lawrence (Larry) Schreiber and Tomie Loy Call Schreiber.
Because Trevor loved the outdoors so much, it is his family's wishes that his ashes will be distributed to family members who will then deposit them in a location where they've had a great memory with Trevor. As they visit those spots in the future, they will always recall those great memories of Trevor.
Trevor is free of the limitations this life placed on him and has begun the next great adventure in his journey with his savior, Jesus Christ.
There will be a celebration of Trevor's life on Friday, July 27. The family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m. at the meeting center at 709 N Washington in Afton, WY.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Trevor Nield. Contributions can be made to the Trevor Nield Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
