Obituary

Timothy Nelson Trefren was born on May 29, 1944 in Corsicana Texas to Richard and Eva Trefren. He spent many of his childhood years living between Cheyenne Wyoming and Caldwell Idaho.

He moved to Star Valley when he was 18 and found a job as a Hunting Guide for Ted Frome. He immediately fell in love with being in the outdoors and hunting. It was not long after he moved to Star Valley that he met and married his one true love and soul mate Sharen Simpson. They celebrated 49 years of marriage in January of 2015.

In Tim's twenties he became a Police Officer for the Town of Jackson Hole. He was the first Snowmobile Officer in the United States. After Tim and Sharen started their family they decided to move from Jackson to Star Valley where Tim was the Town of Thayne Police Officer. Tim had always had a talent for creating and building things and so he decided that he would leave his position in the Police Department job and go to work in the construction industry. He spent several years working for Continental Construction before he started his own business in the early 1980's. Eventually Tim's love of hunting led him to purchase an outfitters camp at Water Dog Lake. He loved being in the outdoors whether it was working in construction, outfitting, horseback riding or fishing. He was so proud of his hunting achievements. He had obtained a Sheep Grand Slam and if anyone had visited his home you would see the amazing hunting expeditions he had been on through all of the mounts in his game room.

Anyone who knew Tim knew that he was a passionate person. He was passionate about his work, hunting and friends, but most of all he was passionate about his family. He loved each of his children and grandchildren and had a love for his wife that was unmatched. He was a romantic at heart and often talked about his love for her.

Tim passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of April 23rd after a long battle with health issues.

He touched so many lives and will be missed tremendously by those who took the time to get to know him as well as his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his father Richard, mother Eva, step mother Elinore, brother Richard and sister Donna and granddaughter Jessica.

He is survived by his wife Sharen, daughters Deanna Clark (Jon) of Etna, Nancy Hosley (Gerald) of Orofino, ID, Barbara Sessions (Rick) of Afton, and son Tim Trefren (Tracey) of Freedom as well as his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
