Stanley (Stan) Taylor Moon, 76, of Thayne, Wyoming peacefully passed away at his home on March 21, 2021.  The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Thayne 2nd ward chapel, with visitation at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Farmington, Utah cemetery.

Stan was born in Farmington, Utah on September 27, 1944 to James Smith Moon and Emma Taylor Moon.  He graduated from Davis High School in 1962.

Stan was married to Eugena Rae Reed on October 12, 1973; they were married for 47 years.

Stan made a lifelong career in carpentry, starting in his teens. A few short years later he obtained his journeyman's license and started his own company (Moon Construction) which is now owned by his eldest son.

He loved spending quality time with his family.  Some of his hobbies included boating, fishing, hunting, traveling and rockhounding.

Stan is survived by his wife, Gena Moon; brother Robert Moon; sons Jason Moon, Stanton Moon and Colin Moon; daughter Dena Moon-Clinger and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Stan is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Moon-Cox; brothers John Moon, James (Jim) Moon; sister Marlene Bowen; and parents Smith and Emma Moon
