Shirley Diane (Ekman) Wolfley's Obituary

Shirley Diane Ekman Wolfley was born on February 14 th ,1940, to
Leroy and Elsie Fuller in Lander, Wyoming. Shirley and her
younger brother Bobby grew up on her loving grandparents' small
ranch nestled in a beautiful setting just outside of Lander.


Shirley graduated from Lander Valley Vocational High School in
1958 where she was active in school government, cheerleading
and speech and debate. Soon after high school, Shirley met the
love of her life, Lee Ekman. Shirley and Lee were married on
October 11 th , 1958. They were blessed with four rambunctious
children: Brett, Shelley, Paige, and Lynda. Lee and Shirley spent
most of their 42 years of happily married life, living and working in
Afton, Wyoming. Lee passed away on July 23 rd , 1999, while he
and Shirley were working for a sawmill in Chicago, Illinois. Shirley
moved back to Afton to be near her children and grandchildren.
In 2003, Shirley married a wonderful man and friend, Reed
Wolfley. Reed and Shirley spent their time travelling back and
forth from Parker Arizona to Afton, Wyoming.
Shirley was an exceptional quilter and talented with numerous
forms of embroidery and knitting. She had an unmatched ability to
crochet beautiful heirlooms for her children, grandchildren, and
great grandchildren. Shirley loved to play cards with her family
and friends, golf, go shopping with her girls, play video games
with her grandchildren and watch the Denver Broncos. She
laughed easily, loved her family with her whole heart, and had a
quick wit.
Shirley passed away on her 85 th birthday, February 14th, 2025.
She was a devoted wife, an amazing mom, and a doting
grandma.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Reed, daughters,
Shelley Hunsaker (Mike), Paige Perkes (Lynn), Pat Drinkle (Don),
Kirk Wolfley, Pam Rowley (Jerry), Donna DeBois, Kyle Wolfley
(Rhonda) sister, Gayle Ostrom, 25 grandchildren, 66 great
grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren on the way.
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee
Ekman, parents, LeRoy Fuller and Elsie Ratliff, Grandparents


Charles and Ida Murphy, son, Brett Ekman, daughter, Lynda
Jensen (Todd), brother, Robert Fuller, sister, Jody Parker, brother,
Mike Lahoe, son-in-law, Bill DeBois, and her great granddaughter,
Kenlee Perkes.
A Celebration of Shirley's beautiful life will be held in the Spring,
2025.
