Sheri Theora Jorgensen, 68 - 8/29/1949 – 8/31/2017

Sheri Theora Holt Jorgenson, age 68 died peacefully on August 31, 2017 at her home with her youngest son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Sherry Jorgensen in Rock Springs, Wyoming after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Sheri was born August 29, 1949 to Richard Wallace and Theora Jane Holt. Sheri loved her family, camping, motocross races, and Christmas. While she was faced with many obstacles and barriers in life, she stayed a beautiful, strong, determined woman to the end.

What Sheri enjoyed most in life was her grandchildren. More than anything she loved watching them ride and/or race motocross, all of which rode or raced at one time or another. She attended many practices and races over the years and always had a smile on her face as she looked on and cheered in only way that she could. Her love of Christmas was always a highlight for all of us as she made each and every one magical and memorable, to say the least, and she always made sure she thought of everyone, even in the meekest of times.

On July 8, 1966, Sheri married the love of her life Rick Duane Jorgensen. They began their journey in Bountiful, UT and had three beautiful children together while there. In 1977, Sheri and Rick moved their family to Alpine Wyoming where she lived until 2011, at which time she moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming where she lived all of her remaining days with her youngest son and his family.

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, Richard W. Holt and Theora Jane Holt; brother, Wallace Holt; sister, Karen Holt Brewster; husband Rick Duane Jorgensen. Sheri is survived by her brother Reed Holt of Clearfield, UT; sons and their wives, Rick W. and Deana Jorgensen of Alpine, WY, and Jason W. and Sherry Jorgensen of Rock Springs, WY: daughter and her husband, Lori J. and Colby Henderson, of Murray, UT; grandchildren, Chad and Curtis Jorgensen, Blake, Blair, and Jason Crook, Jadine Spears, Burgendy Jorgensen, and Austin Jorgensen; great grandchildren, Kash and Dawson Crook, Ben Jorgensen, Milly Spears, and Brooklyn Jorgensen, many nieces and nephew, as well many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9th at 11:00 AM at the Schwab Funeral Chapel in Thayne, Wyoming. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the Funeral Chapel.
