Robert C. Hunter's Obituary


Robert C. Hunter passed away June 11, 2013 following a long illness. Robert was born on Jan. 25, 1921 in Omaha, Neb. He was adopted at three days old and moved with his adoptive parents to Nampa, Idaho. Robert joined the Navy right after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and served aboard the USS San Francisco. Robert also worked for 20 plus years in the grocery business and later had his own KFC?franchise. Robert is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Bea; his brother, Jerry; his sister, Betty; and his parents, Albert and Kathryn Hunter. He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Crane and Karen Hubbard; and a son, Jim. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hunter of Napa, Calif.; and Vivian Hess of Las Vegas. Robert spent the last eight years of his life in Afton. He loved the beautiful views of the mountains and wildlife and quiet country living. Internment took place in the Afton Cemetery, following a full military service at the Baptist Community Church, held June 15.
