Robert Clark Humpherys

Robert Clark Humpherys, the forever cowboy, left this life suddenly (while
still in the saddle) on June 16, 2012 at the too young age of 62.
He was the seventh child of Dean G. and Neva Clark Humpherys, born May 1,
1950 in Afton. He was the baby when they moved into the ³new house² on the
family farm in Etna. As he grew older, he showed he loved people, especially
kids, his dogs and horses. Once a friend of Robert¹s, you were a friend
forever.
His quick memory helped him memorize parts in school plays and learn the
words to sing country ballads.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and
served his mission in Oklahoma. He was ever the missionary with a strong
testimony of the Savior and His restored Gospel. He had a big heart and
would give service readily. He was helping catch a horse for a friend near
Downy, Idaho at the time of his passing.
Robert preferred to be his own boss. He managed his own business of riding
stables, stagecoach rides, hayrides etc. in Springville, Utah, Jackson Hole
and Las Vegas.
Being a tease, practical joker and story teller, it took years before he
told us he really hadn¹t seen Big Foot after all!
He leaves behind his wife Marisela and children Rusty, Luke, Tim, Mary Jo,
Joseph, and Neva as well as his siblings Nadean Cassell, Sharon (Bob)
Sanderson, Ken (Myrna), Florence (Larry) Parker, Ray (Becky), Gerald (Tena)
and Newell (Sally).
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gordon and John (Jan).
He will be greatly missed by his many family members and friends.
His funeral was held June 23, 2012 and he was buried in the Etna Cemetery.
