Obituary

Rick Corsi, a beloved husband, brother, stepfather, grandfather, and friend,

passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on

April 11, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Rick was the cherished son of the

late Mac and Agnes Corsi. He was predeceased by his loving parents but

leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love through his surviving family.

Rick's journey in life was marked by deep connections and enduring

relationships. He was a devoted husband to Rita Ann Chavira, whom he

married May 14, 1994 in West Jordan, Utah. Their marriage was later

sealed in the

Star Valley Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

November 5, 2016, a testament to their unwavering commitment and love

for each other.

He is survived by his loving wife Rita, with whom he shared 32 wonderful

years. Rick was a caring brother to Harry Chris Corsi and his wife Katie,

and Thad Miller Corsi and his wife Monica. His family extended beyond his

immediate relations, as he was a devoted stepfather to Scott Alan Ginger

and Salvador (Chava) Segura Jr. He took immense pride in his 10

grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and shared a special bond with

his many nieces and nephews.

Rick's educational journey began at Hillcrest High School in Midvale, Utah,

where he graduated in 1978. He furthered his education by earning an

Associate's degree from Dixie State College. His professional life was

marked by dedication and service, having worked for 20 years as a

correctional officer at the Utah Department of Corrections. It was there

that he met Rita, the love of his life. After retiring from the UDC in 2006,

Rick and Rita moved to Star Valley, Wyoming. He continued his career at

the 4 Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he was employed

as a security officer for 18 years until his passing.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,

Rick forged many lasting friendships in Star Valley. His life was enriched by

his love for the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and he found

peace in the mountains. Music was another of Rick's passions; he learned

to play the accordion in his youth and later mastered the guitar and piano.

A skilled woodworker, Rick created many beautiful pieces that will be

cherished for years to come.

Rick was known for his compassionate nature and his ability to make

friends with everyone he met. He treated all people with respect and

equality, never passing judgment. His warm smile and kind heart left a

lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27th 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the
