Norma Lorraine Hakes Rich Obituary Norma Lorraine Hakes Rich, 93, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2016 at the Star Valley Care Center in Afton, WY. She was the wife of Glen E. Rich, they shared 51 years together.She was born on January 16, 1923 in Wilmington, CA and she was the daughter of Daniel Edgar and Minnie Hakes. She graduated from Grants Union High School, Alamagardo, New Mexico in 1941. She served an LDS mission in the Central Atlantic States from 1949-1951 where she met her future husband Glen. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she enjoyed making people smile and served in many capacities. She was the best example of charity including sharing her amazing meals with many. She had a flare for drama and wrote and directed many road shows. Her skits were always guaranteed to make people laugh. She is survived by her four children Laurel (Steve) Roberts, Linda (Marc) Barrus, Daivd (Julie) Rich and Glenda (Kent) Crump, 20 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren with 2 on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen, grandsons Anthony Barrus and McKenzey Barrus and granddaughter Emily Barrus. The funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 at 12 noon at the Afton Tabernacle. The viewing will be held from 10-11:45 prior to the services. Interment will be in the Afton Cemetery.
