Mary Burton Nield, 97, of Afton, passed away peacefully July 3rd, 2015, in Logan, UT. She was

born July 10th, 1917, in Afton Wyoming. Mary was the 3rd of 6 children. Her mother passed away

when she was 8 years old, leaving her to help raise her brothers and sisters. She attended

school in Afton, going to high school in the old Rock building, graduating in May of 1936.

She married Lynn McKay Nield August 10th, 1939, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. To this union was

born 5 children. They were married 63 years at the time of his death.

They loved camping and spending time in the outdoors. They also had the opportunity to travel

to many far-flung destinations with friends and family.

Mary was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held many

church positions, always fulfilling her callings with great dedication. Her testimony remained

strong to the very end.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lynn, three brothers Alva, Claude and Melvin, and a

grandson, Mitchell Skinner.

She is survived by her 5 children, Frances Allred (Terry), Lyniece McKim (Robert), Lynette Olsen

(Mike), Julie Ann Skinner (Ronell) and Mike Nield (Shiela), 19 grandchildren, 23 great

grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 at the Salt River Ward chapel on Saturday July 11 2015,

Afton, WY.
