Marsha Ann Hathaway Bates passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20th, 2016 after a devastating battle with cancer. Funeral services will be Saturday Sept. 24th at 11am in the Bedford LDS Ward. There will be a viewing from 9-10 am prior to the funeral on the 24th at the church. Marsha was born September 2nd, 1945 to Iris Howard Hathaway and Elmo Ray Hathaway in St. Anthony, ID. She married her eternal companion Larry LeVoy Bates in the Idaho Falls temple on August 11, 1967. She is survived by her mother Iris, siblings, and four children Jeffery (Danelle) Bates of Saratoga Springs, UT; Brett (Nicole) Bates of Afton, WY; Jason (Tori) Bates of Eagle Point, OR; and Kelly (Jason) Moulton of Blackfoot, ID with 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father Elmo, and her husband, Larry. Marsha spent her whole life dedicated to her family. From helping raise her younger siblings, Sandy, Kirk, and Brent to her own kids, family was everything to her. She faithfully served in all her church callings and loved the Gospel. Her passion was reading, and she took pride in the home that she beautifully kept for her family. She will be greatly missed, but is now enjoying once again being with her eternal companion, Larry.
