Fluckiger, Louise West, 92, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. Louise was born October 13, 1924 in Portland, Oregon, the only child of Lewis and Rose West. She attended college first at Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah and then Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon for three years previous to her call to the Eastern Canadian Mission (French speaking) from 1946-48, in Montreal, Canada, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Louise married Wilford Lynn Fluckiger in the Salt Lake Temple December 9, 1949, with whom she was happily married for 52 years prior to his passing in 2003. Louise was an accomplished pianist and served in many music-related callings in the Church for over 50 years, in addition to serving in various callings in the Relief Society and Primary, including ward Primary President (twice) and Stake Primary President. She is survived by seven children, Sheryl Rader, Stephen L. Fluckiger (Dorothy), Alan L. Fluckiger (Diane), David U. Fluckiger (Marcy), Michael D. Fluckiger (Judy), Lisa M. Clines (Robert) and Richard A. Fluckiger (Michelle). Louise and Lynn have 39 grandchildren, 102 great grandchildren with two on the way.
