Lou Jean Titensor Wright, 83, passed away August 22, 2016 in Afton, Wyoming. She was born October 22, 1932 in Bedford, Wyoming to Clarence and Fannie Leola Titensor. She has one sister, Verba Harmon and was preceded in death by her brothers: Ralph, Glen, and Von Titensor. Lou went to elementary school in Bedford and then graduated from Star Valley High School in 1950. During her high school years she worked at the movie theatre and waitressed at the Silver Stream Lodge and Peter Pan Confectionary. Lou married Elling Wright in Afton, Wyoming on March 23, 1951 in Charlie and Sarah Stoker's home. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS temple in 1966. Lou and Elling have three children: Clair (Tillie), born in Heidelberg, Germany; Jody Gail born in Fort Sill, Lawton OK; and Ellie Lou Young (Frank) in Cheyenne, WY. They have 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Lou and Elling lived in Logan, UT until 1953 when Elling graduated from Utah State Agricultural College and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. They were stationed at a variety of places while Elling served in the military. Upon leaving the army in 1961 they lived in Cody and then Cheyenne, Wyoming where they had business interests in western retail stores. During their time in the western retail business they worked side-by-side to manage the Cowboy Corral and Wrangler in Cheyenne. In 1973 they returned to Cody and lived there for 13 years and were involved in local real estate and civic service. They began wintering in St. George, Utah in 1981. In 1988 they built a cabin at Star Valley Ranch where they spent the summers. Lou and Elling served in the Toronto Canada LDS mission from 1991-1992. They were LDS temple ordinance workers in the St. George temple. Lou was chairwoman of the Cody Republican Women and president of the Bloomington Utah Ladies' Golf Association. She served as ward and stake Relief Society President and loved being a visiting teacher. Lou enjoyed traveling, playing golf and bridge, painting, and visiting family. Because of her example of strength and service she will be remembered with great love. Services were held on August 27, 2016 in Thayne, Wyoming.
