Lila Irene Price, 65, of Thayne, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in her home after a valient battle with cancer. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 in the Thayne LDS?Stake Center. Burial took place in the Afton Cemetery. Irene was born July 15, 1949 in Afton, the daughter of Merrill Taylor and Norma Lindberg. She grew up in Star Valley and spent most of her life in the valley that she loved. Irene attended Rick's College, earning her Associate's Degree in 1968. Irene married George Thompson on Jan. 2, 1969 in the Idaho Falls LDS?Temple. Later she married Clark Price, on Feb. 2, 1982 in the Idaho Falls LDS?Temple. Irene was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a ward missionary, in the Relief Society, Primary and Young Women's programs and also was a Scout Leader. She is survived by her husband, Clark, of Thayne; her children, Dusty Lynn Reilly, Thayne; Rex Price, Thayne; Scott Thompson, Ogden; John Price, Orem; Seth Price, St. George; and Rebecca Price, St. George ; and 10 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Mrs. Wendell (Jackie) Lowry; Mrs. Michael (Laurie) Mignano; Jed Taylor and Sherry Lindberg.
