Jeanne Moser Schwab, 75, of Afton, Wyoming, passed away peacefully in her home on December 29, 2013. She was born in Paris, Idaho on June 4, 1938 to Seth Lorin Moser and Alice Lucille Eborn. She was the oldest of 9 children. During her youth she lived in Auburn, Wyoming where she helped with the family farm, milking cows, and raising crops .She graduated from Star Valley High School in 1956 and then married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Schwab, on January 19, 1957 and was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on May 28, 1958. To this union came 6 children, Sherry, Lee, MarJean, Gloria, Daniel and Vance.
Jeanne enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, quilting, fishing, camping, vacationing, and just spending time with her family. One of her greatest joys came from traveling the state to watch her children, and grandchildren participate in school activities. She loved going to their plays, concerts, football games, basketball games, and just watching her family excel. She loved her family and looked forward to the annual trip on her birthday to Colter's Bay where the family would come together to fish and eat her wonderful buttermilk pancakes. She loved going to Cottonwood Lake and the special memories that came from being up there. Jeanne had a love of life and took great pride in her family.
Jeanne was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed serving in many callings in the Relief Society, Primary and Scouts.
Jeanne worked for Lincoln County School District for over 30 years. She began as a teacher's assistant, then moved to the main office as the secretary for Afton elementary school. Later Jeanne moved to School District Office where she partnered with the Curriculum Coordinator producing and supplying the curriculum for the teachers ( in the summers), did the lunch accounting, as well as doing all the payroll for the school district.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, sister - Carolyn (stillborn), her daughter Gloria and her daughter in law, Terri.
Jeanne is survived by her husband Marvin Schwab, her two daughters; Sherry Merritt (Joel) and MarJean (Doye), and her three sons - Lee (Ericka), Daniel (Kristi), and Vance (Kenna). Her siblings: Jenice Gomm (Clyde), Paul (Lois), Reed (Connie), Eric (Linda), Jayne Christensen (Kevin) and Terrie Anderson (Rod). Jeanne is also survived by her 45 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
