• Eileen Gay Orton of Star Valley, WY. Passed away peacefully on October 4, 2016, with her eternal companion by her side after enduring a courageous battle with ALS for over a year. Born Sept. 25 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT. Youngest child and only daughter to Morrell Kearl and Viola McAllister Moffat. Little sister to Ralph Moffat (Yvonne), Grant Moffat (Delores), Ward Moffat. Married to sweetheart and eternal companion John R. Orton. Together they enjoyed their home in Star Valley, traveling, family, serving an honorable LDS mission and serving for over 9 years as Temple worker's in the Idaho Falls Temple. Devoted and loving mother to Tamera L. Holding (Rick), Verl R. Harper (Brandee), Mark M. Harper. Children from marriage to Rodney V. Harper, later divorced. Stepmother to Sharon Spencer (Paul), Leon Orton (Shirley), and Ronald Orton (Michelle). Wonderful grandmother, and great-grandmother to her grandchildren. Mom was a devoted member of the LDS faith serving her Father-in- Heaven in many calling's throughout her lifetime. After moving from Salt Lake to Star Valley mom got her teaching certificate and taught school for several years. Mom was a gifted artist and loved to paint. Mom had a love for animals especially dogs and horses and was very active always willing to go to Moab and ride the trails and camp out by the Colorado River. Preceded in death by parents, brothers and sister-in-laws, grandson Rodney V. Harper, great granddaughter Marielle Madeline Cardon and grandson Richard M. Holding II. Our family is truly grateful for her loving care givers, and all of those that took the time to show her their love and compassion. Spread your angel wings and fly mom, you're whole again. You blessed all our lives and we will miss you, but we take comfort in knowing we're an eternal family and we'll be together again and what a joyous reunion it will be.
