Donald Lawrence Thatcher was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 11, 1956.  His parents are Alice Katherine Hardy, deceased and Lawrence Donald Thatcher.  Don passed away on February 13, 2020 in Alpine, WY at home.  He grew up outside of Columbia, New Jersey.  After high school he enlisted into the Army and was stationed in many different places including Germany.  He retired from the Army after 22 years.  He earned his Associates Degree while in the Army.  After the Army, he went to work for the Post Office and retired from the Post Office as Post Master of Green River, Wyoming.  He was married to Jill Thatcher in Fort Collins, Colorado.  He was a proud member of the American Legion.  He is survived by his father, and two brothers, Patrick and Andy, his daughter Jamesine, and stepdaughters, Katheryn and Abigail.  The funeral will be held on March 6th at 10:00 a.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Alpine, Wyoming.
