Deola White Warren, 87, passed away October 1, 2014 in Moore, Idaho at the home of her daughter. She was born on June 27, 1927 to Orlan Alma White and Laura Bell Swenson in Alpine, Idaho. She was the second of 10 children.
She grew up on a farm and milked cows, irrigated, sawed and spilt logs, and many other chores. She learned to be a hard worker.
She married Delbert Warren on September 20, 1944 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. They were blessed with 6 children, (four daughters and two sons). Besides raising the children and helping on the farm, she also worked at jobs outside of the home. She cleaned hotel rooms at the Flying Saddle in Alpine, worked as a pie maker and cook at the Star Valley Swiss Cheese Company, and was custodian at the Holdaway Elementary School in Thayne for many years.
She held many church positions. She was a Relief Society President, Young Women's President, chorister, choir director, and a Primary teacher to name a few. She was in over the name extraction program in her ward for many years. She served in all of her church callings very diligently.
She loved and served many. She loved to help out on the farm after she retired. Her favorite thing to do was to run the swather. She loved her garden and seeing things sprout and grow. Her hands were always busy whether they were sewing, cooking, cleaning, canning, building something out of wood, or working on a quilt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her husband. She is survived by 4 sisters, 3 brothers, her six children: Janet (Gary) Gamble, of Blackfoot, ID , Nancy (David) Wanstrom of Moore ID, Judy (Jan) Erickson of Kaysville, Utah, Deloris (Shan) Smith of McCammon, ID, Rickie (Francis) Warren of Gooding, ID, and Gene (Michelle) Warren of Freedom, WY. 38 Grandchildren, and 65 Grandchildren.
