Delbert Paul Jones passed away at the home of his daughter, Laura Lechner, in Freedom, Idaho on December 2, 2024, at the age of 86. Paul was born June 7, 1938 in Lovell, WY; to Delbert Dalley and Louise Jensen Jones and raised in Otto, WY. He was the oldest of 8 children. In 1958 he married Isabell Burton and they had 6 children. Later he married Ruth Bush who had 4 children and Paul and Ruth had 2 more daughters. Paul Married Vaunda Horton whose 6 children gives the total of 14 children and 46 grandchildren plus numerous great grandchildren.

Paul enjoyed learning, and earned 3 degrees in agriculture, social work, and education. He was a hard worker who farmed, ranched, built hundreds of miles of fence with his family as crew, was a social worker, and a maintenance man. Paul enjoyed music, gardening, hunting, boating, fishing, and trips to Yellowstone Park with his family and cousins Myrtle Rae and Howard Allen. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed writing family histories and serving as a temple worker.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, Dec 9, 2024 at the Freedom Idaho Cemetery.  Dress will be casual.
