Dee Moser's Obituary

Dee Moser passed away at his winter home in Washington, Utah, on Feb. 7, 2013, five weeks following open heart surgery at the age of 83. He was born May 14, 1929, to Sarah Walton and Harold Titensor in Thayne. He grew up on a farm in Bedford and learned the value of hard work from his dad, Joseph Hyrum Moser. Dee married his sweetheart, Louise Merritt on Nov. 7, 1947, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Dee and Louise moved to Jackson in 1948 and have lived there since. It was then he began his career as a milkman, delivering milk in glass bottles, sometimes using a team and sleigh in the harsh Jackson Hole winters. He built a business and reputation based on service, a trait that he was proud of and exemplified wherever he went, even in retirement. He held several church callings, but was most proud of his "calling" as ward compassionate services leader. He also loved to dress as Santa Claus to brighten the lives of old and young alike. Dee is survived by his wife, Louise; his children, Dennis (LeeAnn), James (Amy), Paul (Dixie) and daughter-in-law, Marge; sisters Donna, Betty, Jennie; brother, John; 11 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother Sarah, dad Joseph and son Ron. Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the LDS Church in Bedford. Interment was in the Bedford Cemetery.
