Dean Bedford Jenkins born September 16, 1922 in Freedom Wyoming, the son of John Franklin and Annis Jessop Jenkins, the 7th of 9 children and 5 half siblings passed away peacefully in his sleep April 20, 2015 in Layton, Utah. He was raised and lived most of his life in Freedom. He loved riding horses, farming, milking cows, working, sports, and playing with his grandchildren. On November 16, 1946 he married his loving wife of 68 years, Elaine Durrant in the St. George Temple. They had 6 children, Delaine Jenkins, Melaine Eldredge (Rick), Maridene Wiberg (Scott), Sirena Higgs (Tom), Nolan Jenkins (Trudy), Wynn Jenkins (Loretta), 27 Grandchildren, and 37 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings. His family was the love of his life and he will be missed by all. There will be a visitation on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Lindquist Funeral Home 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Layton, UT. There will be a viewing from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, April 24 at the Schwab Funeral Chapel in Thayne, WY, Jefferson Subdivision, Highway 89. Funeral services will be held at the Freedom Wyoming LDS church, Saturday April 25, 2015 at 11:00 am with a viewing prior to funeral from 10:00-10:45 am. Interment at the Freedom Idaho Cemetery.
