Christopher Durk Lowe's Obituary

Christopher Durk Lowe, our loving son, brother, friend, uncle and grandson, passed away at home on April 2, 2013, due to heart complications from his disease, Friedreich's Ataxia. He is survived by his grandparents, Durk and Carla Lowe, and Stephen Kennington; his parents, Mike and Trina Lowe; his sisters, Kayla and Kelsie, and his nephew, Osaris. He was born on Aug. 22, 1991 in Afton, the oldest of three children. Chris went to school in Elko, Nev., from Kindergarten through the fifth grade. At that time his family moved back to Star Valley. Chris graduated from Star Valley High School in 2009 and went to Western Wyoming Community College the next fall for a few months before his illness required him to return home. Chris loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. His passion was music. He knew every artist and song. He liked to write poetry and spend time with his siblings and friends and his LSR?friends. Our Lord gave him the gift of a smile. He touched so many people and could put a smile on anyones face in a moment. Even with all the pain he was in, Chris always cared more for others than for himself and thanked them for helping him. We thank our Heavenly Father for letting us have Chris in our lives. He was a real hero and made his family and friends very proud. All who knew and loved him will miss Chris dearly. Until we are with him again, Chris will be with some of his dearest friends and relatives, who preceded him: his uncle, William Ray Lowe; two of his friends, Mike Stanek and Jamie Leavitt; his second mother, Gina Johnson Brewer; and a nephew, Christian Christopher Bookout.
