It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bartlett Able Moudy IV (62) of Freedom, Wyoming on May 23rd, 2026. Bart was born in Buffalo, NY and grew up in Farmersville, NY where he spent a lot of time hunting and trapping with his brothers and was a huge Buffalo Bills fan. At the age of 19, he moved to Colorado and loved to hike up the mountains. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseback riding, camping, and snowmobiling. He was a carpenter for 40 years and was dedicated to his work and business. In 2007 work brought him to Wyoming and he felt drawn to Star Valley and the surrounding area. Soon after, he built his family a home in Freedom. Bart was a loving husband who showed much affection to his wife. He enjoyed spending time with her and taking her on fun adventures. He was a devoted father to 4 kids. All of whom loved and admired him. In his earlier years he spent much time taking the kids to compete in rodeos and teaching them to love the outdoors as much as he did. In the most recent years, he found joy in the simpler things in life. Spending time at home watching his grandkids play and preparing meals for family and friends. He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Lynn MacDonald Moudy; Children, Jonathan McClanahan (Brenda), Hayley Gerig (Patrick), Thomas McClanahan, Walker Moudy (Hailey); Siblings, Matthew Moudy (Chris), John Moudy; 5 grandchildren, Jaydee, Mora, Jaysha, Ridge, Sage; George Hrycyk (mothers Husband); Aunts and Uncles, Mourice and Ellie Carmody, Colleen Hanavan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Ellen Hrycyk and brother Raymond Edward Rosier.
